Base Zero

The Outfitter Below the Snowfield

Base Zero is the first elevation of the federation. It operates as an outfitting depot, civic hall, and unified chamber.

It is located beneath the snowfield in Kurtal, Switzerland, as established in Banner in the Sky. All materials entering the system—skins, equipment, and readiness objects—are routed through this location.

The public interface presents as a mountaineering outfitter: curated inventory, precise materials, and controlled arrangement. This surface is functional, not decorative.

Behind the outfitter layer is the interior chamber. This chamber holds total inventory in a state that is ordered, accessible, and non-fragmented. No object exists outside this registry.

Base Zero is a physical site. It has boundaries, a threshold, and enforceable entry conditions. It is not symbolic and not abstract.

Functionally, Base Zero anchors the federation to a fixed coordinate in geography and time. All higher chambers derive elevation from this point.
